The Kentucky Derby was last weekend and it’s full of tradition!
Inspired by this tradition, history, bright colors and the festive nature of
this special event that happens each spring, Chelsea and James decided to bring
this to life for their wedding. Using purples, pinks and greens as their color pallet
along with contemporary patterns and Derby inspiration, they were able to create
a southern Derby style event that makes me want to grab a stylish hat, place a
bet and sip on a mint julep while the horses race on by. :)

And of course there’s the drink. The Mint Julep is THE drink of
the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs, the most important ingredient is the
bourbon! Yeah, yeah, or mint…but you can’t really do a mint-tasting bar at your
wedding could you? A bourbon-tasting bar sounds much better, don’t you think?
